Bawdy burlesque meets brilliant tragicomedy in this classic Broadway masterpiece. This legendary show follows the heartbreak and triumph of Gypsy Rose Lee’s transformation from Vaudeville child performer to Queen of Burlesque. “Gypsy” has been has been called “American musical theater’s answer to King Lear” and its script has been described as “possibly the best book ever for a Broadway musical.”

 Next State Theatre Company is founded by Artistic Director Rob Hardie and Managing Director Jerry Harlow, both well known and experienced theatrical directors in the Atlanta area.  Hardie recently won a Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Award for Best Director for “Chicago”, which was presented at the Cumming Playhouse in 2007.
